Why Anger Is Toxic To Our Brain And Body

Why anger is toxic to our brain and body

We have just been born and we are already filled with anger. And fear. And pain. We are born with these feelings in us, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the birth. And from then on, each of these emotions will develop in us, shaped by a multitude of different factors.

There are many different forms of anger. It can range from irritation to blind rage which can, in the worst cases, be very destructive. It is actually one of the most intense emotions people can experience. It is also one of the most destructive.

Whether it explodes on the outside or is kept inside, anger will always cause damage. Anger is toxic to our brain and body.

As humans, we face a great paradox. We will always be able to get angry. It is simply not possible to remove that part of us surgically. We must learn to deal with it – otherwise we may end up suffering mentally or physically. And the good news is that it is possible. It is possible to direct anger in a constructive way. Competitions, engagement and taking chances are ways to do it. If we do not, it is our bodies that have to pay the price.

Rage makes us sick

Both alternative and conventional medicines insist that all diseases have emotional components. The holistic approach says that every disease is an unresolved emotion. When this feeling reaches its limits, it can cause our health to deteriorate sharply, which can also lead to death.

Anger is toxic to our brain and body

Every emotion affects our body in one way or another. Anger is known to mainly affect the area around the chest and abdomen.

There are many types to be angry about. Bitterness and hatred are two of these, and they all have consequences for our health. They are like ticking bombs that end up causing gallstones, gallbladder problems and other digestive diseases.

Other types of anger and their effects on our body

Not long ago, the National Institute on Aging  conducted a study on the effect of different types of anger on our bodies. The conclusion of the study was published in the  Journal of the American Health Association. The results showed that  those who are filled with anger will always show clear symptoms in the body.

Researchers discovered by those who got angry often tend to have abnormalities in the carotid artery. This will increase the risk of stroke. They also discovered that those who are hostile and conflict-seeking, most often also have a thickening in the artery wall.

anger and health problems

Another effect of anger is that it  causes a visible increase in the production of various hormones, and among them, adrenaline. The increase in this hormone causes the body’s balance to change and this can possibly lead to a heart attack or brain disease.

Do not hold it in… And do not let it take control

There are always reasons to get angry, most often every day. Nothing always goes perfectly, and conflicts and dissatisfaction are never far away. To correct these feelings of rejection and irritation,  the most important thing is to realize that anger is what we experience. This simple fact already increases our chances of being able to direct energy in an intelligent way.

The mind has different sides. Here are the four main pages:

  • Uncontrollable anger.
  • Anger that goes from one person to another.
  • Anger to hide an unconscious feeling, which the person can not consciously accept.
  • Anger as a result of a lack of self-confidence.

In addition to this , anger comes mainly from four sources: fear, frustration, doubt and guilt. Anger does not solve any of these. What it does is give the emotions a dangerous outlet. It produces a temporary feeling of liberation, but it still does not eliminate the root of the problem. It also has the aggravating consequence of actually feeding itself. The more anger we feel, the more likely it is that it sharpens and controls us. Unfortunately, this is how it works.

anger that devours

The healthiest outlet is to not suppress or to let it out without control. The right way is to accept that you feel anger and then confront it. This causes the mind to begin to disappear . It usually takes 10 seconds to achieve this. We must then try to identify what is the real source of the mind. It will give us hints on how we can solve the problem behind the mind.
